1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using EdgeSite NVR software, the EdgeSite apps, or the EdgeSite remote access relay (together, the "Software"), you agree to these terms. If you are using the Software on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. License
Subject to these terms and your applicable plan, EdgeSite Technologies grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on hardware you own or control. You may not redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Software, remove proprietary notices, or use the Software to provide a competing hosted service.
3. Self-hosted operation
The Software runs on your hardware. You are responsible for your deployment: hardware sizing, storage, network configuration, backups of your configuration and encryption keys, physical security, and compliance with laws applicable to video and audio recording in your jurisdiction.
4. Remote access relay
The optional relay service provides authentication and signaling for peer-to-peer connections. It is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. We may throttle or suspend relay access that abuses the service or threatens its stability. Media traffic does not transit the relay by design.
5. Updates and support
Update entitlements and support response targets are defined by your plan. We may release updates that change or deprecate functionality; release notes accompany each update.
6. Warranty disclaimer
The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. EdgeSite NVR is a professional recording tool, not a life-safety system; do not rely on it as the sole safeguard for life, health, or property.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EdgeSite Technologies' aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Software is limited to the amounts you paid for it in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of footage or data.
8. Termination
These terms remain in effect until terminated. Your license ends if you materially breach these terms and do not cure within 30 days of notice. Sections 6–7 survive termination.
